Raver Realm sets no cookies of its own.
Local storage
Five things are saved in local storage instead of cookies: your day or night choice (raverrealm.theme.v1), your sound effects setting (raverrealm.sfx.v1), your accessibility settings (raverrealm.a11y.v1), the songs you queue in the player (raverrealm.queue.v1), and your favourites and playlists (raverrealm.library.v1). While you are signed out they are never sent to a server.
When you sign in
Your session is kept in raverrealm.auth.v1 and sent to the sign-in service to keep you signed in. Signing out removes it.
Asking for an email link saves the page you were on in raverrealm.auth-return.v1, so the link can bring you back there. It is removed as soon as the link is used, and ignored after an hour.
Once you sign in, your favourites and playlists are copied to your account so they follow you to other devices.
Raver Gold keeps a random id for this browser in raverrealm.device.v1. When you send gold, a keyed hash of it goes with the send so gold cannot be farmed between accounts on one device. The id itself is never stored anywhere else.
Embedded video and music
YouTube videos load only after you press play. Once a video loads, YouTube may set cookies and store data under its own policy.
A release’s 30 second preview streams from Apple’s servers only when you press play on it. No Apple player or script loads on this site, and Apple sees that request under its own policy.
